What We Offer

Specialist 1-to-1 IB Tutoring

Private IB tutoring designed around the student in front of us: their subject, their level, and the specific gaps holding their grade back.

Individual, not classroom-based

Every session is one tutor and one student, so the pace, examples and focus are built around a single learner rather than a class.

Curriculum-specific

Lessons follow the IB Diploma subject guide and assessment structure, not a generic school syllabus, so what you study matches what you are examined on.

Built on understanding and application

The focus is on grasping concepts and applying them to IB-style questions, rather than memorising worked answers.

Responsive to your weaknesses

Sessions concentrate on the topics and question types where you are actually losing marks, and shift as those change.

Because each programme is designed around the student's goals and assessment requirements, tutoring can support a student who needs to rebuild a weak topic, a student targeting a 6 or 7, and a student preparing for final exams, all within the same 1-to-1 structure.

HL & SL

IB Higher Level and Standard Level Tutoring

In the IB Diploma Programme, students take some courses at Higher Level (HL) and the remainder at Standard Level (SL), generally three to four at HL. HL courses cover a greater scope and depth than SL, so the volume of content and the difficulty of the questions both increase.

HL and SL are assessed using the same grade descriptors, but they differ in the body of knowledge, understanding and skills a student is expected to demonstrate. That means the preparation is not just "more of the same" at HL, it is a different balance of content, calculation and analysis.

Your tutoring needs are different depending on whether you are taking HL or SL, your current grade, and where you are struggling.

We tailor sessions accordingly: an SL student may need help securing the fundamentals and exam technique, while an HL student may need to work through the additional content and the harder question types that decide the top grades.

How It Works

How Our IB Tutoring Works

A simple four-stage loop that keeps tutoring focused on the marks you are actually losing.

01

Diagnose

Identify the concepts, skills or question types where you are losing marks.

02

Teach

Build the underlying understanding rather than simply memorizing answers.

03

Practice

Apply what you have learned through targeted IB-style questions and exam practice.

04

Measure

Track progress and adapt future lessons as your strengths and weaknesses change.

What We Help With

What Can IB Tutoring Help With?

From rebuilding a weak topic to sharpening exam technique before finals, the same 1-to-1 structure adapts to what you need.

Building understanding of core concepts
Catching up with difficult topics you have fallen behind on
Maintaining a high grade across the year
HL and SL exam preparation
Past-paper practice with marking and feedback
Exam technique and timing
IA and coursework support
Managing difficult units within a subject
Preparing for mock exams
Preparing for final exams

For Internal Assessments and other assessed coursework, support means guidance, feedback, structure and help understanding the requirements. We do not write or complete assessed work for students.

Different Goals

IB Tutoring for Different Goals

The same 1-to-1 structure serves very different students, because the focus shifts to match what each one needs.

Students Falling Behind

Focus on rebuilding missing foundations and closing gaps so later topics become manageable again.

Students Targeting a 6 or 7

Focus on moving beyond basic understanding toward accuracy, application and exam technique.

High Achievers

Focus on difficult questions, weak areas and maximizing consistency across the whole paper.

Students Preparing for Exams

Focus on past papers, timing, exam strategy and targeted revision on the topics that cost marks.

Whether it is a difficult unit test, a mock exam cycle or the final exam period, the focus of tutoring shifts to match the pressure point a student is facing.

Why 1-to-1

Why 1-to-1 IB Tutoring?

Individual tutoring lets the lesson follow the student, so time is spent where it makes the most difference.

Focus on the student's actual weaknesses, rather than a fixed syllabus pace
Spend more time on difficult topics and less on what is already understood
Adapt lesson pace to how the student learns, not a class average
Target specific question types that cost the student marks
Provide individualised feedback on written and problem-solving work
Avoid time spent on material the student already knows

1-to-1 tutoring is not automatically better in every situation, but it does let the lesson adapt to one learner, which matters when a student is stuck on a specific topic or question type.
